In Teruko Yokoi’s paintings, color and form, bold brushstrokes and delicate touches, stillness and movement, harmony and tension—all these elements resonate with one another to create a rich and vibrant harmony on the canvas.
Each stroke responds to and overlaps with the others, generating a sense of depth and rhythm that goes beyond mere visual expression.

The wind is not merely to be “heard,” but to be “listened to” with attentive ears.
Inspired by her childhood walks in nature with her father, Teruko Yokoi has continued to attune herself to the voice of the natural world.
