Teruko Yokoi
"Observing Mountains, Listening to the Wind"

《Landscape (Bern Suburbs) 》
1969 Bamboo pen, Ink, Pencil on Paper

Mountains are not merely to be “seen,” but to be “observed” with the heart.

The wind is not merely to be “heard,” but to be “listened to” with attentive ears.

Inspired by her childhood walks in nature with her father, Teruko Yokoi has continued to attune herself to the voice of the natural world.

The majestic stillness of mountains, the fleeting sparkle borne on the wind—her works breathe not only through visible landscapes, but also through the passage of time and the atmosphere of each place.

This exhibition presents paintings that trace the contours of mountains, alongside works that evoke the living pulse of wind and earth.

We hope you will discover fresh sensations and insights through Teruko Yokoi’s lifelong gaze upon nature.
